The Ericsson Cloud Portal aims to serve as a self-service, end-to-end platform for creating and managing all cloud resources in Azure, AWS, and GCP. The platform increases transparency around user resources, makes it easy to understand and make decisions related to cloud resources, and enables meaningful and useful features such as cost and resource optimization, audit, and access management.
I lead the user-centered development of the platform throughout the entire process - from user research, design, and testing to aligning feature prioritization with business objectives and user needs in close collaboration with the product owner. As a UX developer within the DevOps team, I bridge the gap between business goals, user expectations, and technical execution. The user-focused approach I introduced has been instrumental in the platform’s success, accelerating the automation of resource commissioning, enabling self-service capabilities for end-users, ensuring full transparency over costs, access, and resource status, and fostering trust among stakeholders and cloud users.
In my work, I have conducted a comprehensive usability evaluation, incorporating user interviews, contextual inquiries, and live platform testing to uncover user needs, develop personas, and define user-centered features. I have embedded user-driven development within the DevOps team by ensuring that all development is rooted in research and that features and designs undergo iterative user testing. Additionally, I collaborate closely with the product owner to prioritize and refine the backlog while also contributing as a front-end developer within the DevOps team, working with React and TypeScript.
