I was challenged with a complete design and development of a portfolio website for Tereza Cervenova - a London-based professional photographer. Her unique style of capturing powerful moments that hold political, poetic and personal meanings calls for a clean presentation that puts all the emphasis on the photos and projects.
The resulting website directly reflects the artist’s way of showing her work, simulating the time flow and page-turning in her headline project - june. When it comes to the presentation of the artwork, I aimed to simulate a gallery feeling and opted for a very simple layout which guides the user’s full, undisturbed attention to the photographs themselves. Should the user want to explore the specifics of a particular photograph, the cursor is brought towards the image itself where additional details are available.
